Did Obama Lie To Americans About Ending The War?
September 25th, 2009Didn’t Obama talk nonstop on the campaign trail for 2 years about how he would end this war and bring all our troops home right when he got in office? What the heck has changed since then? He blasted every Congressional Democrat for 2 years about their vote on Iraq. I thought this was Bush’s War anyway, why did Obama lie to us? And why are Democrats so supportive of the war now that Obama is president?
A short, quick answer to your question, YES, he did lie, but lets not forget the mantra used by the Democrats two years ago to regain control over congress, where they promised to end the war in Iraq, and stop the vast spending by Bush, and stop funding the war so as to insure the end to the Iraq fiasco.
So now, they get elected, the war is still going on, and instead of stopping the run away spending, and funding of the war, they not only gave Bush every dime he requested, but added millions of dollars on in pork barrel projects.
Then comes Obama, and his promises are worse than before. And in case anyone has not noticed, the damn war is still there, and spending is at an all time high.
Lies ? I would take a chance and guess so.
Obama lied about everything. From the lobbyists, to the executive orders, to the wars.
Obama has expanded the wars in all ways. The fact is he supports the neocon policies of empire abroad. War abroad supports police state at home.
No matter how people try to twist it, Obama won the presidency as the president to end the wars. He has done nothing of the sort.
All it took was dark skin tone to keep the wars going, to shut the people up, to force them back in their seats to prevent a revolution. It worked. But the TV sets glow is becoming dimmer.
Calling for more domestic spying? Torture coverups? More war funding? More debt expansion? More govenrment expansion? More rights violations with the Patriot Act? Obamas policies are all too much bush-like for any freedom lover.
No. Everyone agrees that the war must end. Everyone also agrees that we are responsible for destabilizing the middle east. We can’t just “cut and run” now can we?
He never said the troops would be pulled out immediately. He suggested a plan be formed to accomplish the task and begin the withdrawal in 18 months. It’s been about 7 months.

After he became the Commander in Chief he talked to the commanders and they recommended 18 month for the safety of the troops and he when with their recommendation.
Of course he lied.Don`t you know it`s all a game?Obama is a puppet of Israel,like all his predecessors back to JFK .Why else could we possibly be over there fighting their war?Why Rahm Emanual?It just goes on and on if one takes the time to look.
What’s ironic is that Bush was the one who signed the withdrawal deal with the Iraqis. HE ended the war, Obama is just making another one bigger
