From a liberal perspective, the benefits of Obama-care are that it will shrink the private sector while expanding government dramatically.
It’s an economy-killer – like everything liberals promote.

The benefits?
Healthcare for ALL, even the poor. That’s no bad thing, surely.
The NHS in Britain, which is held up as an example of why it would be a bad idea, WORKS. It’s far from perfect, but a lot of people would be screwed without it. Those with the money can still take out private insurance.
It’s also worth mentioning that this system won’t turn the entire population of the US into communists, which seems to be the fear of many of its right wing opponents.

The more the Republicans screw it up…the fewer there are.
I am beginning to think that by the time they are through with it…the medical bureaucracy will be ten-fold, and the insurance companies will still be calling the shots.
They should have stuck to the medicare for all plan and simplified things immeasurably.
Insurance companies will always have things to insure…the fact that few want to play in the “medical insurance arena” in the first place hints of corruption.

It will provide a public option that will have lower premiums but won?t compromise the care you recieve.
This will also force insurance companies to either draw back their rates to compete or they will lose money. They will not be able to get away with denying people care anymore. If you don?t want the government plan you can stay with your other insurance, and benefit from the decreased rates.
To be clear, it is really an option. No one will take away your other insurance if you love them that much.
Government healthcare does work. Take a look at Medicare and the many European countries with a national system. We won?t even be making that drastic a change.
