How Can Obama Use The Military’s Successful Strategy In Iraq To His Advantage In Afghanistan?

November 4th, 2009

While we finally figured out a counter-insurgency strategy for Iraq, Afghanistan is a very different situation.
For starters, we will still want to focus on protecting the population, but Afghanistan is bigger and more dispersed, and they’ve never had a strong central government, like Iraq did, and they actually hate their government as much as Americans.

Not so far I read a not bad place with post $1500 loan quick. I found this post very interesting and I added it to favorites

  1. Reality has a Liberal Bias

pay the opposition to quit fighting. the sons of iraq were paid off to stop fighting the american forces. buy the poppy crops at a higher price than the taliban can pay and either use them to create morphine or destroy them thus enabling the farmers to switch to other crops that cannot be used to fund the insurgency.
