No. Unfortunately, politicians, regardless of their quality, get pensions. And a huge staff, and the former presidents get secret service details, and all this other bull that we can’t afford and shouldn’t be paying for. I believe that Reagan was the last president that truly earned his pension.
Who says they can’t hold any other office? They are pensioned because they work for the goverment, who grants themselves the best retirement, health care, expense accounts, jobs you can’t be fired from, etc etc etc, ALL AT THE TAXPAYERS’ EXPENSE.
No, however if they served as an elected official to a Federal office they get a pension. It does not matter if it is only one term they get a pension.
