Are Republicans Hateing Obama More Then Democrats Hated Bush?
November 18th, 2009They’re were no tea party baggers when George Bush was president they’re was no right wing bithers that think he wasn’t born in America when Bush was president. We just started seeing this type of hatred when Obama take office.I’ve never seen a black man hated more then the right wing is hateing Obama.
Actually its a fair question… it seems about even to me. The difference is that Dems hated Bush for actual reasons (Iraq War, etc), but the Republicans can’t quite put their finger on why they don’t like Obama. Its because he’s black, but since that’s not considered an acceptable reason, they just make stuff up (he’s Muslim, Kenyan, yada yada). Makes them look like whiny rednecks, which is why there are such a small, insignificant party now. They sort of look like and enraged gerbil.
First of all, many people were complaining about President Bush’s spending; at the same time, he wasn’t forcing a government run health program down our throats. Also, President Obama accrued more debt with one signature (”stimulus”) than President Bush did in eight years, and the CBO backs up that statement.
As far as who is “hating” whom, I don;t recall any liberal having problems with all of the names President Bush was called; now all of a sudden it’s racist to use those same names just because the President is 1/2 black? As far as “birthers” while I agree that there is sufficient evidence to say he was born in Hawaii, there is ALSO evidence that contradicts such statements, and President Obama’s refusal to open up certain records only adds fuel to the fire (which, politically, is a good move as it makes his opposition look unhinged).
I do not hate President Obama; I disagree with him. If you can not tell the difference, all I can say is you need to learn it.
Right now I’d say it’s about even.
Yeah, some wack job comedians cruelly suggested that Bush: should be killed, stole the election (in 2000), knew about 9/11, etc. All of that was stupid and wrong. However, some conservatives made the huge tactical mistake of suggesting that opposition to the Iraq War was tantamount to treason, whereas now most Americans’ opinion of that war have soured. How the mighty have fallen!
The treatment of Bush by his opponents was despicable, but unfortunately, if you look hard enough, you’ll see the same thing from the opposition to Obama. Remember the facebook poll that talked about killing Obama? Most of the tea parties are probably expressions of anger at excessive government spending, but if you don’t think some of them have to do with Obama’s race, then why did I see signs at some of them telling Obama to “go back to Africa?” Or calling his wife a “descendent of gorillas?” I agree that a lot of the opposition to Obama is based on his policies, which is perfectly legitimate criticism, but conservatives and liberals alike have to admit that at least a portion of it is based on race. Try to deny it, but I’ve seen the tea parties and the kinds of signs that people have brought. The masks are off, and it’s too late to claim that there’s no element of racism there. I’ve already seen it.
There a liberal goes inserting race into this. The tea parties are not against Obama, but once more, it’s against how much government is spending! They are also made up of much more than republicans, but independents and democrats fed up with decades of wasteful spending. No real republican even considers the born in America thing, Its something that liberals bring up with rants like this.
Mostly republicans are against what Obama is doing, not the man. I realize this is a new concept to Liberals who hated Bush the person more than what Bush was doing.
The Bush protesters were more dignified and equipped with facts. Florida purged the wrong people…Democrats from the voters registration. The Mary Berry hearings proved that. When Bush was inaugurated in 2001…the route was lined with people with their backs turned to Bush. The media did not show that. Everyone knows Bush did not win that election…he stole it. The internet was filled with information on Diebold fixing the electronic voting machines.
Then there was the Bush policies…people spoke out, unlike the Tea baggers who would not allow people to speak. Judging by some that were in the town hall meetings, I doubt they had the ability to talk intelligently.
I think republicans are selfish unhappy people. They constantly police people, worried about a what someone else is doing. They deal in fantasies and conspiracy theories…never facts. They have destroyed the true meaning of Patriot and it started with the Bush administration. Anyone who did not agree with them were unpatriotic.
Democrats hated Bush more. They blamed him for everything!! Then they called him an idiot, but considering he was an idiot, he certainly was smart enough to do so many bad things.
I think there are people that think that it was Bush that made 9/11 happen. I think there are people that believe that Bush made Katrina happen.
I think a lot of people hated Bush and they elected obama. They gambled to get somebody different in office. Well, obama being black makes him very different.
I think once, he took office and started doing things to change this country. People are realizing that this is not the type of CHANGE they thought they were going to get. They are really angry!! Because they thought he was going to do things for the better of this country. Not taking the country down to a worse economic position than anyone could have done this.
I think the people that hate obama the most are the people that believed him and thought he would do something good for this country.
Bush was actually liked by the majority of Americans until he started to mishandle things. Then he started to accrue the ill will that we saw towards the end of his tenure.
Obama was receiving hate on his frist day in office. A good percent of that hate is because of his skin color, some of it is from his policies, but the largest majority comes from sore losers.
You’ve already seen a bunch of posters point out how Bush was ridiculed. They attacked Obama as soon as they could, because their guy was attacked. It’s like watching my nephews. “He hit me first, so it’s okay that I hit him”. It’s a childish attempt to try to “balance” things out.
I’m predicting 8 thumbs down for pointing out a simple truth. Repubs are mad that their candidate was a lame duck (Bush Sr. was a good pres, his son was a dud), so they’re lashing out at the Dems president, regardless of what he does.
I’ve never seen so many claims of “hatred” thrown on people who don’t agree with a President’s policies, as I have with this one.
So, to answer your question with a simple “yes” or “no”, I say no. Ask this again in 7 years or so, when they have both served the same amount of time, and then you can get a fair answer.
I have never seen a President be racist and make racist comments.
I have never seen a President call half of AMERICA anti government tea baggers either. WHO INSULTS AMERICANS when you represent THEM? What does this say to the WORLD?
I have never seen a President practice physical thuggery in the senate and drag a senator across the floor , back him into a wall and scream in his face either… Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/04…
I have never seen a President call his miltary selfish and call them terrorists on top of that.
I have never seen a President IGNORE His military in time of war! NEVER!!!!!!
I have never seen a President stand with MUSLIMS and talk about it openly while putting down AMERICA either.
Obama said in his book ‘Audacity of Hope’, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction what better place for the Muslins to control our country, than in the office of the President of USA.”
We’re no longer a Christian nation.” – President Barack Obama, June 2007
“You might say that America is a Muslim nation.”- President Barack Obama, Egypt 2009
Thinking about these and other statements made by the man who wears the title of president. I keep wondering what country he believes he’s president of.
I have never seen a President lie DAILY to the AMERICAN people as much as he does.
I have never seen a President divide a nation as much as he has…
I have never seen a President use cult tactics for his cult followers
I have never seen a President have a 10 percent unemployment and DO NOTHING to stop it.
I have never seen a President who is trying to force change in the constitution!
HE HATES AMERICA….
He isn’t hated..he is DESPISED and he caused it.
Aren’t you forgetting the other voting blocks? Independents, Libertarians, and Commie Rat Bastards?
At any rate one thing is certain. It is costing America way more money to hate Obama then it did to hate Bush..
That is if you are concerned at all about the ability to pay our bills as a nation.
Some silly folks still care about stuff like paying bills.
Before I say that conservatives hate Obama, I will wait to see a conservative comedian hold up a poster of Obama that says “Snipers wanted.”
That is apparently all right when the lamest of all stand-ups Conan O’Brien does it to Bush.
I just wish Obama would do something that is actually helpful for America instead of hurtful. Also, I really don’t like him blaming America for all of the world’s problems. Not very Presidential in my eyes.
Yes, but the up side of that is more people are Hating the Republicans because they see them for what they REALLY ARE now.
probably true……since Bush was not elected based on the color of his skin, and brought with him a resume of qualifications to be the president of the country.
The 9/11 truthers, anti war protesters, Bush stole the election, code pink.
no they don’t since the economy is getting better.
Democrats have no right to hate anyone, they don’t pay taxes
Another educated democrat thet cant spell !
Which button do I push mista ? The one with the D on it ?
Maybe but we knew how to act.
Oh, yeah. Its not even close.
What matters more are the citizens opinion, not the political parties
ever heard of code pink?
