How Come Conservatives Blame Liberals And Obama For Their Problems?
December 25th, 2009As an aside I am doing fine, so I need not place blame on anyone. Second I believe this global recession was caused largely due to a bi-partisan effort of a Republican Congress and the Clinton White House in deregulating the banks, combined with pressure on banks from the Government to give out bad loans.
So, I blame the Government as a whole.
On the topic, it seems to me that both parties have deferred to business leaders who caused the bubbles that have burst to become the recession/depression. And still do.
Off the topic, I am compelled to point out that incest does not cause mental retardation except in extremely rare cases. Most mental retardation is caused by non-familial genetic developmental disabilities, mystery diseases such as autism, misadventures in pregnancy and early childhood, and traumatic brain injuries prior to age 18.
Because mental retardation as legally defined is so distinct from political stupidity, we really need a counter-meme so Internet writers don’t keep writing these statements that suggest, uh, cognitive deficits. No one accuses a fellow netizen of dementia, whichs is far more common — and no one knows the causes of most dementia’s either.
If Obama and the liberals can blame Bush, the Rich, the right wing extremists in the military, the Bible Clingers, the Astro Turf, the teabaggers, the Mobs at the town hall meetings, the gun toters, the insurance companies, the American oil companies, the car manufacturers, the banks, Fox News, Rush and then have Obama apologize for this country and our forefathers,. I think we can blame the liberals for their failed policies, like the 25 year oil drilling ban, that has raised our oil imports from 30% when it started, to 70% today, the Great Society, that has cost us 12 trillion dollars since it’s conception, the free housing/ housing market collapse debacle, NAFTA, and finally Obama’s wild spending, in an attempt to cover up all their failed policies over the years and finally bankrupt America*********************************…
“conservatives” don’t like more gov’t, don’t like taxes, and don’t like more regulation on civilians… They have every right to blame the current gov’t… And they blamed the Bush admin every step of the way as well..

Unfortunately, there seem to be very few moderate Republicans who have functioning brains. The Conservatives have moved so far to the right, there have been so many baseless accusations made about the Obama administration, so much hateful rhetoric spoken and tolerated, and so much just plain unspeakably bad behavior on the part of the Conservatives, that the whole Republican party seems to have lost whatever decency, honesty and intelligence they once possessed. The hate-fueled crap the the ‘tea party’ conservatives spew has apparently been embraced by a number of Republican Congressmen and women and Republican Senators. My family, too, is doing fine, and I honestly believe that the majority of the families of the far right Conservative ‘activists’ are also doing just fine. The sad fact is that the Fox “news” network is dedicated to the failure of President Obama. Most of the low-information right wing gets their information from the likes of Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly, so it’s understandable that whatever ‘information’ they have is extremely biased, manufactured, editorialized, and just plain false.
Liberals (including Obama) blame Conservatives for their problems as well (have you heard how many times Obama cited “the last 8 years” as the reason for his shortcomings, especially when he doesn’t deliver on an impossible campaign promise?)
Both sides do this, but I agree, the current economic situation was bipartisan in cause. However, your explanation kind of contradicts itself. You think deregulation, along with government pressure to give loans to people with bad credit (which would be government regulation, technically) caused this. Which one really did it?
I’d say it started with Clinton. He pressured banks to make sure everyone had the right to own a home, do whatever you can. This of course meant lowering very necessary standards in order to allow low income persons to borrow above what they could afford, and it just kept escalating.
