obama is completely in touch with america….the answer is 1.
u need to come to grips with the fact that obama will be your president for another 7 years…especially with idiots like palin, limbaugh, steele, boehner and mcconnell running the GOP circus.
most americans endorse health care reform….obama is not a communist and obama does not endorse death PANELS.
u would believe the moon was made of cheddar cheese if beck or limbaugh told u that.
obama and geithner know more about economics and tax policy than u could learn in 100 lifetimes.
America is a massive country, so it’s impossible to define “everyday”. There are millions of urban blacks living in abject poverty where violence is a fact of life who are completely out of touch with the millions of suburban white who are worried about interest rates, and they are both equally out of touch with the millions of rural farm workers whose livelihoods are tied up in the weather and market prices for corn, beef, whatever. So being completely in touch with all of them is an absolute impossibility.
Having worked in inner city Chicago, he is clearly far more in touch with the plight of the urban poor, probably than any US President in history, though he can still only reach a certain level of understanding. For fundamental Christians who have somehow reached the conclusion that Jesus endorses gun ownership and low taxes, he is obviously completely out of touch. For the middle class suburbanites, well he’s one of them, so rather in touch, though he was an extremely successful one, so he understands the cause of hardship there rather than the experience of it. That he won an election convincingly suggests a popular touch, given that his message was one of practicality rather than ideology, he would seem to be in touch with, if not the majority of Americans, then certainly the majority of voters. So let’s give him a 6, which is a remarkable achievement given that there are about a quarter of a billion “Everyday Americans” he needs to be in touch with.
Whichever number signifies out beyond our orbit and then some. I would say the last number + about 4 trillion (and counting) is how far out-of-touch this administration and the majority in Congress are. (of course there is no last number)

Is Bush and the last Republican Congress the “10?”
13.9 trillion ways
Maybe a 1 or a 2. Michael Steele thinks making a million dollars is not really that much money….and he’s not out of touch at all….suuuuuuure.

I’d give him a Zero. He just does not care about what we want.
