Why Does America Deserve Prosperity And Happiness?
June 3rd, 2009America has already enjoyed its turn at happiness and prosperity. The rest of the world needs a chance to enjoy the easy life. President Obama will be the one to ensure that the rest of the world comes before the USA (for a CHANGE!). Finally after more than 200 years, we will finally have a President that will make this country something we can be proud of!

Ok, first, America takes in pretty much the entire western hemisphere as in North, South and Central America. If you’re talking about the U.S.A. you’re still talking about a nation, a country, a land mass which can be neither happy nor prosperous. If you’re talking about the over 300,000,000 people who call the United States home, I know a whole bunch who don’t feel very happy or prosperous right now, myself included. I would further argue that the handful of super rich fascists who run everything and everyone on the planet (and have for centuries, btw.) might call themselves prosperous but could not possibly ever have the slightest clue about true happiness. I’ll console myself with that. I’ll also settle for happiness if I can find some. The planet couldn’t survive if every human were prosperous. There are too many of us.
We earned it with the Revolution.
We proved it with the Civil War.
We sacrificed for freedom in other lands.
They enjoy “the easy life” because of our sacrifice.
The tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots.
We have many more patriots than any country could ask for.
We have as many as the cause of liberty demands, and then some.

first of all…obama’s job is the UNITED STATES PRESIDENT. his job is to put the U.S. first. as president it is his job to protect the american people and protect and abide by the u.s. constitution…which in obama’s case is almost laughable.

Because Americans have worked hard to make our country great. The president’s job is to look after his country first. If you dont like living in a happy, prosperous country maybe you should leave & move to one of those other countries that “needs a chance to enjoy the easy life.” Why do I think you’re a troll?

Prosperity is something that must be earned and worked for.
We don’t just take turns handing it out arbitrarily.
That’s the difference between a conservative (me) and a liberal (you).
I think America should get a lesson in humility. It will happen some day. Even Rome couldn’t stand the test of time. I believe China will be the next superpower. And capitalist will be in the same but as cuba with an embargo.
Why do you think prosperity has to be taken away to be created someplace else?
This planet has had several surges of prosperity that did not lessen commercial progress where it already existed.
How will that make them any more free????
