Powell came out a few days ago saying that he has been speaking with Obama and telling him he is trying to do too many things at once. Do you agree? Shouldn’t Obama focus on the economy and later tackle other issues such as global warming and health care?
yes I agre with Colin. He probably has buyers remorse over endorsing Obama.
No. Healthcare needs to be reformed and soon.
First of all, Obama is not going to bring in universal healthcare, a fact that many people (including those who voted for him) seem not to realise. He wants to make insurance more available to all.
Second, of course universal health-cover sucks. That is why we in Western Europe have it. We think, hmm, our healthcare system sucks. I know, lets keep it. I guess that is the same with Japan and Canada as well.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage.
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, Cuba, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage.
Yes it’s a lot but it might be the best way to get some of these major things done. Otherwise, the special interests gang up on the one topic on the table.
obama is just trying to push his socialist agenda full-steam-ahead regardless of the consequences to our nation. He will fail. And soon…
colin powell can bite it for all i care…he needs to pick a side and stay
with it and not hold up a wet finger into the wind!!!
Obama is going a bit bonzo.
colin is a smart man but maybe a little too cautious. Barry’s going ballsout and gonna prove the General wrong.
