Reagan blamed Carter for the economy three years in and the GOP blamed Clinton for 9/11 nine months in. I say we use the GOP precedent.

He’s responsible now. He’s the President. That doesn’t mean the cause of the problems will be his until the effects of his programs take place. A full year is a reasonable amount of time.

Reagan went into office with a troubled economy
put in legislation to fix it and it helped quite a bit
2 1/2 yrs later
so give it a rest and have the same amopunt of patience you’ve had with the republican party that has promised for 25 or so yrs to repeal Roe V Wade —–and still haven’t done it

We’ve already seen some interesting exchanges between the media and the White House. I have a feeling the more pragmatic media members (even liberal) will put down the pom-poms and start blaming Obama in less than a year to a minor extent overall.
More importantly I think voters are going to see through the smoke and mirrors. Last election according to polls, Obama was elected because they wanted a coarse correction on the economy. If he doesnt deliver, then he is going to be kicked to the curb. (heopfully with Palin waiting!)
