How is that a bad idea? People are dying with no access to heath care. Regular people, fathers, mothers, daughters, sons have no access to health care and they live in the richest country in the world. Today, 61% of all bankruptcies are filed because the filers can't pay their medical bills. Universal health care exists in every other industrialized country in the world. Every other one. Your taxes and mine pay for the Armed Forces and the Interstate Highway system, whether we were attacked or whether everyone drives. They fund the radar and traffic control system, the Air Traffic Controllers who make commercial air travel safe even if you don't leave home. Taxes from non-readers and readers alike pay for the libraries. Your taxes help fund the fire department that saved someone else's home. Health care should be like that.
