Please be specific about the details that warrant our U.S. President to be compared to Adolf Hitler.
The moniker is more descriptive of the right.
NAZI What’s in a name? There have been hundreds of political parties, if not thousands, in modern times that include terms they have no business including. Totalitarian parties that have “democratic” in their party name, or “people’s” or “freedom”, etc. Remember Orwell and Newspeak?
Our Congress passes bills all the time with titles that are just about in direct opposition to the content of those bills. Variations on the theme of “Clear Skies Initiative”.
But since “socialist” is in the name the Nazis decided to use, that’s enough “evidence” for the right.
Problem is, Hitler and the Nazis, in speech after speech, law after law, deed after deed, went after socialists, liberals and communists with a vengeance. They attacked them, imprisoned them, exiled or killed them. They were adamantly against the left and everything it stood for, and said so repeatedly. They despised the left. Anyone who thinks that name is proof needs to dig deeper. They need to google for quotes by Hitler and those who worked for him. They need to read history about the Third Reich and how it actually operated.

I find it more annoying when the left wing compares bush to hitler. ok bush is very right wing but he is in no way a fascist (fascism and conservatism have very different goals and ideals). Probably what annoys me is that i expect more form the left then just appealing to peoples fears and emotions.
if we keep recklessly comparing any of our liberal politician (not liberal as in the american political ideology opposed to conservatism) it will make the nazi and fascist governments less horrible and repulsive then they already are. we should not water down these words just to throw meaningless insults at our opponents to score a few political points.

Hitler was a member of the National Socialist Party in Germany (it’s where “Nazi” comes from), and conservatives claim Obama is a socialist. Hitler used thugs in brown shirts to intimidate voters and political opponents, and Obama has brown skin. “Adolf Hitler” and “Barack Obama” both have the same number of letters.
The comparisons are petty and coincidental, but conservatives seem to think they are significant and monumental.
The White Supremicist side of the right-wing GOP is projecting their own natural inclinations and behavior-leanings onto innocent others, to include our democratically elected President. This is the only explanation for such an outrageously untrue comparison. Was it not the Bush/Cheney crowd who illegally invaded a sovereign nation that had never once attacked us, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis? Was it not Cheney who set up a shadow government within the CIA, telling them not to follow the law and report to Congress? Was it not Bush/Cheney who rounded up Iraqi men simply because they were Iraqi men and then began sadistically torturing under Rumsfeld’s direction? Was it not Bush/Cheney who tried to monitor our library book check-outs and who tapped American phones without a required FISA Cout warrant? Was it not Bush/Cheney who exposed the identity of a covert operative (and through that the company she and other operatives used as a cover DURING WARTIME–an act of HIGH TREASON? All of the cruelty and crimes against humanity were committed by the very inept, corrupt, and lawless Bush/Cheney administration, so maybe these criminals are attempting to push the attention away from themselves just as an abusive husband would attempt to paint his female spouse as the villain so that he can find an excuse in his own mind to beat the crappola out of someone who does not deserve to be beaten.
Barack Obama is a decent, honorable, patriotic man with a brilliant mind and a compassionate heart who definitely does not deserve the Republican-led viciousness orchestrated by people such as Newt Gingrich, Dick Armey (FreedomWorks) and Tim Phillips (Americans for Prosperity) who are scripting these town hall meetings in Democratic districts and busing Glenn Beck hatemongers and Republican staffers on Phillips’s anti-insurance/health reform buses. They are backed by big money lobbyists, so they are pledging their allegiance not to the American people or to the Constitution, and not to the President that a MAJORITY of Americans support, but rather to the $$$.
Anyone who compares President Obama to the nastiest heathen on Earth is got to be one sandwich short of a picnic. Not playing with a full deck. Short on the stick. because this president may very well cause massive civil war by:

Furthermore he is teetering the economy on the brink of utter collapse by Radical insane debt spending (bush did the same, but no where near what Obama did). This radical amount of debt he is forcing into the American people pocketbook can cause massive civil unrest due to hyperinflation, which then easily can be used as a means to crack down and impose martial law against all those right wing extremists.
I completely believe the stock market is artificially inflated right now, and will let out like a balloon in 4 to 6 months.

I think there are a number of justified reasons:
His health plan originally closely followed Obama’s. The T-4 program, of course, progressed to the atrocities we know about today, which hopefully this health plan would not be permitted to go that far..
The President has talked about a Youth Program that would be compulsory for ‘community service’ – as I understand it everyone capable would serve 2 yrs.
He has also talked about his own personal ‘army’ and as Hitler had his own Leibstandarte (personal army) this is certainly comparable.
Hitler’s move toward Socialism included taking over many industrialized companies in Germany. Even though he was no better equipped to ‘run’ them than Obama is.. plus is obvious anti-semitism, his withdrawal of support from Israel and his support of Israel’s enemies.
Also the ‘hope and change’ platform O ran on – but could never be pinned down by anyone what that ‘really’ meant to O.
“Everything must be different!” or “Alles muss anders sein!” was a slogan of the Nazi Party. It is also the heart’s desire of every Leftist since Karl Marx. Nazism was a deeply revolutionary creed, a fact that is always denied by the Left; but it’s true. Hitler and his criminal gang hated the rich, the capitalists, the Jews, the Christian Churches, and “the System”.

Hitler also targeted specific groups and they were ‘to be hated’ – the jews, the banks, capitalists, money lenders, etc. O has targeted the upper and now it looks like the middle class, too, big business, insurance companies, Jews, capitalist ‘whites’ etc Definitely a comparison here.
His admin’s request for people to ‘report’ others that are giving out info that may not be ‘correct’ on his health care plan is another example. Hitler wanted everyone to tattle on everyone else. Now it has come up that though he originally said that all these reported emails would be ‘deleted’ after sending the accused person an email explaining his health plan – it turns out because of Presidential records Act- they Will Never be Able to be deleted and will eventually appear in his Presidential library.
Plus I think this is unconstitutional and should never been requested:
“According to 5 U.S.C. § 552a, United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President, shall ‘maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.’”
Now I’m sure from your ‘comments’ that you will not see a single comparison here – but a lot of people do and are starting to identify our President’s various agendas..
I don’t think we are a bunch of German Sheep that will just lay down for his plans though as witnessed by the Town Hall meetings. Betsey Markey our representive represents 20 counties in our State – She is not having town hall meetings in the outlying 16 counties as they are more conservative counties. She’s lookin’ bad. Another Dem that is taking the very worst approach.

Under this program, elderly people with incurable diseases, young children who were critically disabled, and others who were deemed non-productive, were euthanized. This was the Nazi version of efficiency, a pitiless expulsion of the “unproductive” members of society in the most expeditious way possible.
